Dear Family!
As the son of a preacher, I have spent my life in and around religious institutions. I’ve watched my father, the Late Bishop Robert L. Pruitt, 103rd Bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC), raise money to help individuals, families, organizations & educational institutions. When my father was elected Bishop in 1984, he was assigned to serve in Africa. My father built schools, hospitals and churches. When he left Africa in 1989, dad completed all but one major project which included the following:
- House of Worship for the people in that Community
- Bible study centre
- Study Group Centre for those people who dropped from formal school due to financial problems
- Orphanage and Old age Centre
- Day Care Centre
- Multi-purpose hall for weddings and social functions
My father’s friend and current Bishop of that district, Wilfred Jacobus Messiah, decided to complete the project and to name it Pruitt Temple. I am working with the Bishop to complete this vision. We have purchased the land, constructed a fence to protect the land, secured 24 hour security as this part of the country is in political and social turmoil and constructed a temporary house of worship consisting of four posts and a thatched roof.
I can’t wait to see children working with village elders, brothers and sisters playing in a safe space, students graduating from high school, people giving their lives to Christ and families growing stronger & healthier. The people of Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe have been waiting for this moment.
I need your financial support today to complete this awesome project! Please click the PayPal Button below and make an investment in the life of your brothers and sisters across the sea. Make a large donation or several donations of smaller amounts. No dollar amount is too small!
Thank you in advance for your gift!
With love,
Robert
