Everyday there exist many opportunities for people of all ages to move beyond their ordinary lives to create extraordinary results. Some showcase their leadership skills at work, in school or social settings and even in political arenas, however many people go through life not realizing or believing that they possess unique skills, talents, and experiences worth sharing.

Since 1985, I have worked with youth and adults who aspire to be leaders. I have consulted with The Boys & Girls Clubs, organizations for gifted and talented students, at-risk programs, as well as specialized leadership programs in law, medicine, and international diplomacy. My work has taken me to numerous elementary, junior high and high schools around the country. I have also conducted lectures and workshops nationwide and in India, Africa and the United Kingdom. Additionally, I have conducted front-end, formative, and summative evaluations for museums around the country. This experience supports my ability to evaluate the efficacy of my programs.
RobertPruitt.Com offers several workshops, training methods, and lecture topics to choose from. Each activity incorporates the theme of leadership and is predicated on the principle of "active learning". Simply put, active learning takes place when participants do most of the work. Our workshops are designed so that participants acquire knowledge and skills rather than passively receive them. We use methods that help to:

We ask participants lots of open-ended questions. Furthermore, we urge them to risk, guess and explore-pushing beyond the limits of what they are used to. Participants spend a lot of time in teams. They assess themselves and their team periodically to find out what they have learned and what skills they possess. This process is both interactive and experiential.

Our workshops focus on what participants will leave with versus how much information is presented. In addition, all programs and lectures support the idea that fully learning one thing is better than unsuccessfully trying to learn everything. Upon completion of the workshops, participants will continue to learn and will discover who they are and what they have to offer to the world.

Participants can learn about their personality styles and improve practical skills in communication and conflict-resolution. They can learn to acknowledge their fears and concerns, and then move past them. They can even learn to identify, evaluate, and become recommitted to their values.

Our workshops also provide a proven method of intervention in patterns of thinking and behavior. This combination of personal inquiry, committed relationships and expert facilitation offers a true life-altering experience that is unavailable through books, solitary reflection, or simple discussion with friends.
